Vice president Kamala Harris did call Donald Trump on Wednesday to congratulate him and concede defeat in the 2024 US presidential election.

Harris contacted Trump to congratulate him on his victory and discuss the importance of a peaceful transition of power. The call, which reportedly lasted only a few minutes, is in keeping with the American tradition of the losing candidate acknowledging defeat to the victor.
